The day my son was born, I had the realisation that he was going to change so quickly. Shortly after, I picked up my camera and began to capture this new beginning in our lives. From the wrinkly skin on his feet and ankles, to the precious angel kisses on his forehead. I wanted to remember it all. As his cheeks got chubbier and his hair grew longer, I photographed milestone after milestone.
Soon, I wanted to help friends and family to capture their babies journeys, to help encapsulate their tiny toes and podgy fingers. Remembering how quickly those opportunities passed by with my boy. Captured Beginnings Photography is more than just a job to me, I love that families trust in me to share such special fleeting moments to freeze in time. ***

Maternity photography is a great passion of mine, I adore maternity sessions both in-studio and outdoors. I think all mama's should have beautiful photographs of themselves during pregnancy. You can take Christmas photos every year… but pregnancy? You only get nine months. I didn’t realize with my last baby that it would be the final time I’d ever see myself carrying life. Newborn Photoshoots
Our Newborn sessions take place in our studio where there are several prop set-ups and the posing bed all ready for our session when you arrive. We will have a chat a few days before the session to discuss a colour scheme, and any particular set-ups you like. I do not put a timeframe on when our Newborn session happens, as a professional I am able to adapt my practice to create timeless photos of your bundle of joy no matter their age.
